Ethics in Trinidad Media

  1. This video was a GREAT idea because media houses should not conform to what the government wants the public to see, they have to act independently. No government official has the right to stop the truth!

  2. I like! lol- to tell u truth I actually kinda enjoyed some of the coverage on CLICO 'Seek Truth and report it' 'Give voice to the voiceless'. Nariba- see also Reynolds Factors. Google it, you may find it interesting - Its 10 or 15 (i think) steps to being a good journalist- it materialized from a case in court- so cleck it out! its more than the ... Read Moreclassic and SPJ ethical concerns.Oh and I like the One Rep song too-!!!
While it is true that media WORLDWIDE in a mess and smetimes the only way to speak out is through the use of blogs and independent media, at least sme are making an effort AND i ADMIRE THAT. Media today really ent what it set out to be and that gonna be very hard to change- lol

  5. ok, so its a nice piece. Great topic. Gave me information I really was not aware of and opened my eyes to how harsh local media can be. The slides were a bit fast, not allowing me to read some of them effectively, but other than that it's a job well done!

Oh and the music suites the topic accurately!

  9. Very interesting video. Sometimes you forget how gross the media can be especially when covering sensitive stories. Personally I think it is all about sensationalism and who sells the most newspapers. Forget about the affected family who will see their loved one brutally murdered on the street or individuals who will see the remains of a family member strewn on the street after a horiffic accident. I guess after a while ethics go through the door and some other creepy thing comes in!
